FAQs


Q: I paid the registration fee and sent an email to congress office. However, I have not received any update.

A: As you paid the registration fee, please upload your receipt of payment in your panel. Sometimes it takes time to receive registration fee. As soon we receive it, we will inform you by email. However, some payments have no details and we should wait for your payment receipt.

Q: How do you inform me about the final decision for my paper? It is "under review" in my panel.

A: Acceptance letters will be sent to the email of corresponding authors. However, we will send you officially acceptance (in PDF format) due to your request in your panel.

Q: What should I wear?

A: The conference does not have a dress code. Most conference participants tend to dress in business casual.

Q: Whom should I contact if I have other questions?

A: You may send an email to ICESIT at contact@icesit.org. However, we recommend you to put your ticket on your panel. You can see history of your conversation forever.

Q: Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

A: A certificate of attendance is available upon request by emailing contact@icesit.org following the conference. All presenters (oral/poster) will receive their certificates after their presentation.

Q: Who qualifies for the student registration rate?

A: A valid student ID is required at conference check-in.

Q: If I submit my paper before the deadline, will I receive notification sooner than who submitted just in time for the final deadline?

A: Yes. We will send your manuscript to the editors and reviewers and you will receive the final decision for your work sooner. We try to send the final decision after 2 weeks.

Q: Can a friend or assistant accompany me?

A: A conference badge is required to enter all conference venues. If you would like someone to accompany you to any conference sessions, they first need to register and pay the associated registration fee.

Q: If I submit my paper before the deadline, will I receive notification sooner than who submitted just in time for the final deadline?

A: Yes. We will send your manuscript to the editors and reviewers and you will receive the final decision for your work sooner.

Q: What are the participation categories?

A: We have broadly 3 categories, i.e. Presenter (Oral, Poster, and Video), Listener (without paper presentation), and Not-Attending (without actually coming to the conference; participation as virtual presenter). You may apply in any of them as per your choice.

Q: I am unable to attend the conference. Can I still submit my abstract for publication in the conference program booklet?

A: Yes, you may still submit an article, without physically attending the conference. Such submissions will be included in the Conference Proceedings and the registration can be done in "Not-Attending‟ category. In this case, we will send you signed certificate copy and congress proceedings (by uploading in your panel)

Q: What is Virtual presentation?

A: You may just make a video of your paper presentation, where it will be played to the audience. You may take help of your friends/ colleagues/ students to present on your behalf in the video. The video must be shot in proper lighting and due care must be taken for its audio and video clarity. This video should not be of more than 10 minutes and you should be available to solve the queries.

Q: How do I book accommodation/ flight for the conference?

A: The participants are suggested to book the hotel/ accommodation of their choice and budget. You may use any booking website for the same. For example:

Q: I realize that I need to register by the author registration deadline, but I am still waiting to hear whether I have funding to attend. What should I do?

A: Please put a ticket on your panel mentioning expected time for the release of funds. We would be happy to extend your deadlines.

Q: Is group registration entitled for the registration fees discount?

A: Yes, group registration is entitled for registration fees discount.

Q: Will I get a receipt when I arrive at the conference?

A: Yes, you will receive hard copy of receipt along with the participation certificate during the valediction of the conference. We may also send the scanned receipt to your email on your request.

Q: I have to cancel my place at the conference. Can a colleague attend in my place?

A: This is usually not a problem. Please inform the Conference secretariat in writing, about your details, plus the contact details of the person who will be attending in your place. A substitution can then be made, and no extra charge or cancellation penalty is incurred.

Q: I need certificates for my co-authors too.

A: The certificate, which you would be awarded, would have the name of presenting authors only. If you require additional certificates for other co-authors as well, then an additional fee is applicable.

Q: I/ my Organization want to propose a session in this conference.

A: If you would like to propose an organized session, please contact conference secretariat, including its subject and format along with minimum 5 presenters interested in attending the session
